The Memphis Council salutes the United States Military and all the sacrifices that they and their families endure. In a very small gesture of our appreciation, the Memphis Council collected, donated, and sent 140 sets of Men's Thermals and over 500 Cards and Letters to the 173rd 2nd Battalion of the 503rd Airborne, also known as "The Rock". Over the course of just 3 weeks, The Memphis Council raised over $2000 dollars and received help from Lewisburg Elementary and Wells Station Elementary Schools, The Jackson Council, and a $200 dollar grant from the Tennessee Chapter!!

On December 21, 2007 we worked with "Tankerbabelc" (Our amazing and wonderful contact with the 503rd) and we sent our donation to Afghanistan!

**Update January 2, 2007** Our contact (Tankerbabelc)recieved confirmation that our packages arrived ahead of schedule!! Although communication is limited, they sent a picture of them receiving the thermals and a message of their sincere Thanks and Appreciation for the gift!!
